5th Reunion Campaign

A message to our classmates

As co-chairs for the Class of 2015 5th reunion campaign, we initially came together with the goal of encouraging others to help us make a positive impact on today’s Stanford students. While we all shared the deep disappointment of not having been able to celebrate our five year milestone in-person last fall, we have also been inspired by the ways in which our class has continued to support one another and their greater communities from across the world.

If you are in a position to do so, we hope that you will consider making a gift this year to Stanford to help students most affected by the pandemic. With the extension of our 5th reunion campaign through 2021, we have set a goal of 25% class participation. No matter the size of your gift, you can help us honor our time on The Farm and pay it forward for the next generation.

We are still looking forward to celebrating with you in 2021. In the meantime, we thank you for your support and are proud to be part of this wonderful group.

With gratitude,

Anjney Midha, Liana Kadisha, Meredith Galli, & Julianna Lamb

Co-chairs, Class of 2015 5th Reunion Campaign

You choose where to give

Generous financial aid

Help students afford a life-changing education through scholarships, not loans.

Thanks to donor support, Stanford meets the demonstrated financial need of every U.S. undergraduate student. Half of all undergrads receive need-based financial aid directly from the university—and last year, 84 percent of students were able to graduate with zero student loan debt. Of the remaining students who took out loans, the median amount of debt upon graduation was $14,947, compared to the national average of $24,337.

The Opportunity Fund

Help students overcome a temporary financial hardship or participate in academic and career opportunities.

The Opportunity Fund offers flexible grants through the First-Generation and/or Low-Income (FLI) Office for undergrads facing unexpected expenses not typically covered by financial aid. The FLI Office has distributed grants for laptop repairs, expenses associated with grad school applications, fees for professional conferences, travel expenses during family emergencies, and much more. After the onset of the pandemic, the Opportunity Fund played an active role in meeting the rapidly evolving needs of low-income students.

Vibrant student life

Enrich the lives of students through performing arts clubs, public service groups, club sports teams, cultural organizations, and more.

Gifts support more than 125 student-run groups, which allow undergrads to express their creativity, build lifelong friendships, explore their passions, and develop new skills. The strength and significance of these peer networks persists off-campus, as student groups continue to operate during distance learning.

Mental health resources

Fund programs that provide treatment and support for students facing challenges in their personal or academic life.

Your gift will help sustain a variety of university programs—including Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and the Bridge Peer Counseling Center—that are dedicated to providing mental health support to individuals, and to promoting well-being and emotional resilience across the student body. After students left campus in March, CAPS and the Bridge shifted to virtual and phone visits, offering crisis support, workshops, and referral assistance to students.

Outstanding academics

Invest in cutting-edge courses, interactive lessons, and expanded academic support for students.

Gifts are distributed as needed to all three schools with undergrad majors: Engineering; Humanities & Sciences; and Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences. Last year, Stanford Fund donors ensured faculty received the support they needed to transition classes and undergraduate research opportunities online, in addition to funding programs offered through the Center for Human Rights and International Justice.

All of the above!

Making a gift through The Stanford Fund will support all these important initiatives, ensuring students have the resources they need to overcome challenges and succeed.

Gifts through The Stanford Fund support all aspects of the
undergraduate experience, sustaining programs that
benefit more than 7,000 students each year.
Every gift—no matter the size—makes a difference.
